Moneyball

Today's movie was about a general manager in baseball who is tired of the idea of losing games due to the lack of money. While everyone try to focus in the simplest thing he tries to focus to the real problem that only him could see. The fact of being so less sponsored made him more eager to try to find the winning team that he wanted not only to substitute one of them. As he tries to convince everyone to see the real problem and then to solve it, the other seem to not care and not have the same ambitious eye that he has. After he knows Pete a Yale graduate, that becomes an assistant general manager, they get together and try to find other method to create a perfect team with not spending that kind of budget. As everyone only saw the players scores and failures, the new method of Bill, sabermetrics a way of calculating the average score of the players without seeing their scores or failures, and it succeeded.

What i actually like about this movie is the way how Bill first sees the problem that happens, while everyone are trying to solve it in the most ordinary solutions and not putting attention to the problem. He tries to find the solution about the problem he is facing and keeps an open mind to t , so when he tried a new method with probabilities and statistics he believes that will work even when others think it is insane. He tries different strategies until victory and that is somehow how a problem solving works even for a designer. Creating different statistics, different analyses, strategies and believing into working until succeeding. It was a motivated movie showing us how he saw the problem, analysed, created so many different frames until he made it.
